Turkey Underwater Sports Federation and the Development of Lifeguarding Profession in Turkey Panel was held at our university
The panel titled "A New Job, A New Life: Turkish Underwater Sports Federation and the Development of Lifeguarding Profession in Turkey" organised by the Coordinatorship of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of our university attracted great interest. The event, held at Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim Conference Hall, brought together students and academicians interested in sports and underwater branches.
Prof. Dr. Sabit Duman, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Sabit Duman, Associate Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atike Yılmaz, Associate Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Önder Şekeroğlu, faculty members and students participated in the panel held at Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim Conference Hall. In the panel, a detailed presentation of the sports branches affiliated to the Turkish Underwater Sports Federation was made and the development of these sports in Turkey and the importance of the lifeguard profession were discussed.
Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences Prof. Dr. Sabit Duman emphasised the importance of the development of underwater sports and lifeguard profession in Turkey and gave information about the potential of students to make a career in these fields. The Dean stated that the event aims to inspire young people who are interested in the sector to step into the sector with up-to-date information.
The panel also included an interactive session moderated by Associate Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atike Yılmaz and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Önder Şekeroğlu, who answered the questions of the participants. This interactive platform between students, faculty members and industry representatives created an opportunity to provide important information to those who are considering a career in underwater sports and lifeguarding in the future.
