TÜBİTAK 2237-A Project “Earthquake Awareness Training for Teacher Candidates” Accepted
The project "Earthquake Awareness Training in Online Learning Environment with Pre-service Teachers", directed by Assoc. Prof. Ayça Kartal from the Department of Basic Education, Department of Primary School Education at MAUN, was deemed worthy of support within the scope of TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Education Activities Support-Earthquake Special Call.
The project aims to provide pre-service teachers with awareness of the importance of the digital approach in earthquake awareness education and the ability to design Web 2.0 supported activities.
Within the scope of the project, in which Muş Alparslan University, Trabzon University, Düzce University, Amasya University, Giresun University, Karadeniz Technical University, Muş Provincial Police Department and Rize-Fındıklı District Directorate of National Education took part, online earthquake awareness training will be provided to pre-service classroom teachers, social studies teachers and science teacher candidates
The educational staff of the project includes Assoc. Prof. Ayten Arslan, Assoc. Prof. Erdinç Öcal, Assist. Prof. İskender Dölek from the Faculty of Education, Assist. Prof. Cuma Fidan from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Assist. Prof. Nihal Dulkadir Yaman from the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Lect. Zeyneb Türkoğlu from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at MAUN.
