The Rector Visits Our University Beekeeping Enterprise
Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican and his wife Dr. Songül Alican, Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ and Secretary General Harun Demir visited the beekeeping establishment.
After the end of the plateau season, rector Prof. Dr. Alican made investigations. During the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Alican checked the beehives and harvested the honeycomb.
Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ added that the precipitation fell too much in the spring this year, the endemic plants and flowers in the vegetation bloomed quickly due to the extreme temperatures with the warming of the weather, and due to the short flowering period, honey production was less in the province compared to previous years.
