The Enthusiasm of the Republic Day Continues...

The 100th anniversary of our Republic continues to be celebrated with great enthusiasm today through commemoration events held in our city.

The venue for today's commemoration events was the Muş Governor's Mansion. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, and his spouse, Prof. Dr. Songül Alican, participated in today's commemoration events. These events also featured the directors and staff of public institutions and organizations in our city, military officials, as well as representatives from various civil society organizations.

Governor Avni Çakır, along with his wife, Bahar Çakır, welcomed the participants in front of the Governor's Mansion after receiving congratulations in his office. The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, followed by the reading of special messages from our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the 100th anniversary of our Republic. Governor Avni Çakır then delivered a speech, emphasizing that the date of October 29, 1923, marked the beginning of a rebirth and rise, and it also represented the name of a great legacy that was paid for in Çanakkale, Sakarya, Dumlupınar, and Afyon plains.

The commemoration events for the 100th anniversary of our Republic continued with music and performances by a children's folklore team. This was followed by demonstrations by the Janissary band and various martial arts exhibitions. These performances captivated the audience and received great interest from our fellow citizens of Muş. At the end of the demonstrations, successful athletes were presented with gifts. Finally, the commemoration events concluded with a military band parade.
