Stream Improvement Activities Continue at Muş Alparslan University
Within the scope of the construction and contracting works undertaken by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, significant progress has been made in this year's program of the improvement and landscaping of the snow streams in our University Complex.
DSI, which started the flood protection work of the T1, T2, T3 Streams in the complex in June 2022, has produced 1638 meters of mortar curtains, 685 meters of double-sided masonry walls, 9 culverts (2x2) and 4700 meters of harprows in the T1 and T4 streams within the scope of these works. The railings of the related streams will be completed in 2023. In addition, starting from the spring months, rehabilitation and landscaping works will begin in the creek that starts in front of the guesthouse and passes between the 1st and 2nd Central Classrooms.
Making a statement on the subject, the Rector Fethi Ahmet Polat: “we will make our university attractive with the slogan "A University as Clean as a Flower". With landscaping works, we will build parks, recreation areas, small ponds and pools where all our students and their families and staff can spend time and relax. At this point, I would like to express my special thanks and gratitude to Lütfi Akca, General Manager of DSI, as well as to Provincial Director Servet Fırat, and Regional Manager Ayhan Şahna.”
