School of Technical Sciences Takes Steps for Collaboration with the Industry
Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatih Şevgin, the Director of the School of Technical Sciences at Muş Alparslan University, along with students from the Construction Department, took a significant step towards the industrial sector by conducting a technical visit to Muş Organized Industrial Zone (OSB). The visit not only provided students with sector-specific knowledge but also opened up valuable opportunities for collaboration with the business world.
As part of the visit, a meeting with Masum Özdemir, the owner of Muş Plastik LTD. Co., an entrepreneur and businessman, holds the potential to bring together university students and companies operating within the OSB. Mr. Özdemir provided detailed insights into the operations of a plastic factory to the students and also shared sectoral perspectives on Solar Energy Systems (GES).
During the visit, Asst. Prof. Dr. Şevgin, the Director of the School of Technical Sciences, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Özdemir for the information provided to the students, stating, "We consider sectoral visits like this as an important step in the collaboration between industry and education. We will continue such visits at regular intervals. These visits not only allow students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice but also serve as a way to educate graduates who meet the needs of the business world. The information on Solar Energy Systems will provide students with a significant perspective in the field of renewable energy. We hope that Muş Alparslan University continues to enhance its activities in the context of university-industry collaboration, maintains its success in this field, and positively contributes to the future careers of students. I would like to extend my thanks to Masum Özdemir for his hospitality."
The visit concluded after answering students' questions posed to company representatives and taking group photos.
