Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican at the Turkish Historical Society

Our Rector held a meeting with Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen, President of the Turkish Historical Society (TTK) within the scope of his contacts in Ankara. 

Our Rector Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özalper was also present at the meeting held in Yüksel Özgen's office. The agenda of the meeting was to expand historical studies on various places and subjects in our country and to ensure cooperation in the studies to be carried out. In this context, our Rector informed TTK President Özgen about the activities pioneered by our University during his presidency of the Department of History. Underlining that our city is suitable for such studies in spatial terms due to the fact that it is a city of history and culture, our Rector Alican shared with TTK President Yüksel Özgen his demands for cooperation with the Institution in the projects to be realized in the future in our city and Malazgirt. 

In addition, during this meeting, our Rector made mutual evaluations with President Özgen on the works planned to be realized in the 2023 phase of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism Malazgirt Battlefield Identification, Historical and Archaeological Surveys Project, in which TTK is a stakeholder together with our University.
