Rector Alican Participated in the Symposium on Guilds and Working Life in the 100th Year of the Republic

Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican participated in the symposium titled "Guilds and Working Life in the 100th Year of the Republic," organized in collaboration with the Sivas Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (SESOB) and the History Department of Cumhuriyet University as part of the 36th Week of Guild Culture.

The symposium, held at the Fidan Yazıcıoğlu Cultural Center, was attended by MAUN Rector as well as SESOB President Hakan Demirgil, President of the Cooperative of Tradesmen and Craftsmen Credit and Guarantee Union 27th Regional Union Mesut Dursun, Chamber Presidents, Board Members, and academics from different universities.

SESOB President Hakan Demirgil, who hosted the symposium, addressed the importance of guilds in his welcoming speech and expressed his gratitude to the participants.

Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican delivered the opening speech of the symposium, providing information about the history of guilds and emphasizing that Guilds were a forge that trained upright and reliable individuals. Rector Alican also stated that Guilds managed the cities they were in, thus highlighting that Guilds were an organized social movement.

At the end of the symposium, various gifts were presented to the academics who participated in the program.
