Panel on Sports Sciences at Our University: Contemporary Approaches in Federations and Training Sciences

The panel titled "Contemporary Approaches in Federations and Training Sciences in Turkey," organized by the Faculty of Sports Sciences, garnered significant attention.

Moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Önder Şekeroğlu, the coordination of the panel was handled by the Rector's advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atike Yılmaz. The event, held at the 1071 Malazgirt Congress and Culture Center in Hall A, featured speakers such as Prof. Dr. Tekin Çolakoğlu, President of the Orienteering Federation, and Prof. Dr. Serdar Eler, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Gazi University.

One of the prominent agenda items in the panel was the unfortunate issue of violence in the sports world in recent days. The opinions expressed in the panel emphasized the competitive nature of sports and underscored the importance of the spirit of fair play. It was highlighted that sports should promote unity and solidarity among fans, while emphatically stating that violence goes against the essence of sports.
