Our Rector is on TRT News: ‘Turkish Seal to Anatolia: Malazgirt Victory’ 

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican was a live broadcast guest on TRT News screens during the events held in Malazgirt Historical National Park within the scope of the 26 August Malazgirt Victory celebrations. 

In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican drew attention to the historical importance of Malazgirt and Çanakkale, which he described as the steel gates of Anatolia. Emphasising that the Malazgirt Victory opened the gates of Anatolia to the Turks, Prof. Dr. Alican detailed the events leading up to the Battle of Malazgirt and expressed the meaning and importance of this victory in Turkish history.

In his speech, our Rector thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his sensitivity to the meaning and importance of the Malazgirt Victory and pointed out that the national historical awareness was strengthened under the leadership of our President. 

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican stated that the Malazgirt Victory is a great victory in the common memory of the Turkish nation and that he believes in the importance of keeping the national consciousness alive with such events and invited everyone to visit Malazgirt.
