Our Rector came together with Unit Supervisors and Personnel promoted in their positions
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat came together with the heads of academic and administrative units at Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim Conference Hall.
In the meeting, which was attended by all academic and administrative unit supervisors and had a conversational atmosphere, Rector Polat stated that he entered his 13th year as dean for 4 years and rector for 9 years at our University and stated that many important academic and administrative works were carried out during this period. Rector Polat said, “We have achieved all these works together with you. We have become one of the universities that received the highest budget among the universities opened after 2007, excluding the health budget. Since the day we took office, we have been instrumental in the opening of many academic units, departments and programs. Alhamdulillah, the 8th academic unit was opened during our rectorate with the School of Foreign Languages, which was published in the Official Gazette before the holiday. With the appointment of Prof. Dr. Zeynep Yılmaz Kurt as the director of the School, the number of female academic unit supervisors in our university increased to 4.
In fact, many people have contributed to the opening of the academic units in our university. In this regard, I would like to express my greatest thanks and gratitude to our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is the architect of the idea of a university in every province and who has provided us with these opportunities, and to our state in his person. I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Yekta Saraç, our former President of Higher Education Council (YÖK), who supported all the processes from the beginning to the end, to Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, who is currently in charge of this duty, and to the members of the General Assembly of YÖK. On behalf of myself and you, I would like to thank our Provincial Governor Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlker Gündüzöz, Muş Deputy Mehmet Emin Şimşek and Muş Mayor Mr. Feyat Asya, who stand by us in every step to produce services in our province.”
Rector Polat stated that they have endeavored to place the principles of conscience and justice at the heart of their administrative approach and that they have always been rewarded for this. In his speech, Rector Polat thanked all unit chiefs who worked hard with him and said, “It is very valuable for me to serve in Muş. As a native of Elazığ, I spent 5 years in Elazığ, but I am in my 13th year in Muş. During my tenure, we have done a lot of work for the development and promotion of the University and Muş. I would like to ask you, my esteemed colleagues, to work with conscience and justice in the following process. If you continue on the road with this understanding, you will continue to play a locomotive role in the development of our province and our university.” Reminding that a new rector appointment will be made in the near future, Rector Polat underlined that he stands at an equal distance to all candidates in the appointment process and that he is ready to sincerely make all kinds of contributions to the new rector to be appointed.
Rector Polat Wished Success to the Personnel Promoted
Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat and Secretary General Harun Demir also met with the administrative staff who were successful in the Promotion and Title Change Examination. Rector Polat thanked the administrative staff who succeeded in the exam for their devoted work and wished them success in their new duties. While 12 personnel who succeeded in the promotion and title change exam were appointed as chief, 5 as civil servants, 1 as driver, 3 as technicians and 7 as technicians, 13 personnel were promoted to computer operator due to their successful work.
