Our Faculty Member Returned from Kennedy Space Center!

Lecturer Harun Önlü, the Food Processing Department of our university's Vocational School of Technical Sciences (TBMYO), participated in the "PRANET" project, which was among the 13 experiments of Astronaut Alper Gezeravcı, Turkey's first space traveller. This project was carried out by Muş Science and Art Center.

 

Assist. Prof. Harun Önlü completed the experiment preparations at the Kennedy Space Center in the United States and returned to the country. Returning from Kennedy Space Center, Önlü and the Director of Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Assoc. Dr. Fatih Şevgin, visited our rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican.

 

During the visit, a special postage stamp commemorating Turkey's 100th anniversary and the first manned space mission and the ‘duty veil’ prepared for the mission were presented to our Rector. During this important visit, the space projects carried out with the participation of our university were emphasized and the achievements of the Turkish space program were highlighted.
