MAUN Rector Prof. Fethi Ahmet Polat attended the 5th Regular General Assembly of the International Universities Council

 At the meeting held on September 30, 2022 at the Conference Hall of the General Directorate of Forestry Guesthouse, new boards and commissions were formed with the participation of rectors and statesmen from different countries.

In the general assembly in which the Management, Executive, Audit, Advisory and Academic Boards and Health and Law Commissions were formed, the Chairman of the Council was Ahmet Feyzi Bingöl, the former Rector of Fırat University, and the members of the Council included Sefer Nasrullahzade, the Rector of Tabriz University, and Prof. Dr. Şefik Tüfenkçi. At the end of the meeting with more than 50% participation rate, the Founding President, Orhan Hikmet Azizoğlu, was elected as the Chairman of the Management and Executive Boards. As is stated in the Council's statute, the members of the General Assembly made an official visit to Anıtkabir, and the Anıtkabir Memorial Book was signed by the founding president.

On the same day, there was a visit to the Presidential library in company with the guest rectors, and the delegation continued its official work after the Friday prayer at Beştepe People's Mosque.

The members of the Executive Board of the International Universities Council, for which MAUN Rector Prof. Fethi Ahmet Polat was elected as the General Secretary for the second time, held a Board meeting and took decisions on various issues.
