MAUN in 2022-2023 URAP Ranking
According to the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) Research Laboratory data, MAUN has increased its total score both in the general ranking and in the ranking of universities established after 2007.
Established in 2009 within the body of METU Informatics Institute, URAP Research Laboratory makes Turkey and world university rankings every year as a social service. Stating that it prepared the URAP 2022-2023 Turkey ranking published on the University Ranking by Academic Performance website using the data published by Clarivate Analytics/InCites and YÖK, URAP points out that 15 indicators were used in the ranking this year.
In the URAP Turkey ranking, where 9 indicators have been used in the rankings since 2009, 6 new indicators have been added to 9 indicators and the total number of indicators has been increased to 15 as of this year. URAP states that in order to measure the research activities of universities more precisely, the number of TUBITAK projects of universities, the number of joint articles with domestic universities and the number of joint articles with other universities in order to measure their ability to conduct domestic and international collaborations with other universities have been added to this year's URAP indicators.
While MAUN was ranked 126th out of 166 universities with a score of 288.7 in 2020-2021, and 61st in the university ranking according to its qualifications, our university ranked 130th in the general ranking with the number of universities entering the ranking increased to 179 in this period, although it increased its score to 318.5 in the 2021-2022 rankings. ranked 64th in the university rankings based on its qualifications.
According to 2022-2023 data, MAUN has increased both its scores and rankings. It was ranked 126th among 183 universities with a score of 450.08 in Turkey.
Making a statement on the subject, Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat said: “The measures taken by the administration towards quality in recent years and the observance of objective criteria in the recruitment of academicians have caused a visible increase in our success rate. These rises in the rankings are the product of serious effort. These scores are very meaningful because there are no Medical and Veterinary Faculties in our university, and our Faculty of Dentistry is still in the establishment phase. Because these are important faculties that force the academy to raise the bar of success of universities. Therefore, this success of our current academic units is extremely valuable.
