MAUN attended the TAGEM Project Evaluation Group Meeting
MAUN Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, participated in the Agriculture and Forestry Ministry's Agricultural Research and Policies General Directorate's Grassland, Pasture, and Forage Crops group project evaluation meeting held at the Izmir International Agricultural Research and Training Center (UTAEM).
Prof. Karadağ reminded that Muş Alparslan University is a pilot state university in the field of animal husbandry within the scope of "Regional Development-Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization." He also mentioned that Muş Alparslan University has been selected as the "Common Application and Research Center for Grassland, Pasture, and Forage Crops" by the Higher Education Council, and within this framework, joint studies are being conducted with Çukurova University, Ondokuz Mayıs University, and Dicle University successively.
Furthermore, he stated that the project "Silage Soybeans Promise Hope for the Muş Plain," supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Directorate of Education and Publication, continues under the collaboration and partnership of the University, Adana East Mediterranean Agricultural Research Institute, and Muş Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, and a successful result has been achieved.
During the project evaluation meeting where our University's Faculty of Applied Sciences also participated as consultants for four days, a total of 44 projects were evaluated, including 31 ongoing projects, 10 new proposals, and 3 for informational purposes, related to grassland, pasture, and forage crops.
At the end of the fourth day of the meeting, Prof. Karadağ expressed the joint efforts and activities carried out with our University's Faculty of Applied Sciences, Agricultural Research and Policies General Directorate, Seed Registration and Certification Directorate, and General Directorate of Plant Production in the section for wishes and hopes.
