“Learning to Live with Disasters" Trainings Continue

Muş Disaster Management Implementation Centre continues its "Learning to Live with Disasters" training activities in schools across the province.

On 6 February 2023, following the earthquakes centred in Kahramanmaraş, trainings aiming to create a disaster-resilient society in Muş continue.

A total of 200 students attended the trainings held at İMKB Anatolian High School and Ulus College. Muş Disaster Management Application Centre Director Asst. Prof. İskender Dölek stated that the trainings aim to ensure that students are aware of disasters and said, "Being prepared for disasters saves lives. For this reason, we teach our students the types of disasters, methods of protection from disasters and what to do during disasters. Thanks to these trainings, our students will be able to make correct and fast decisions in case of a disaster. They will be able to adapt what they have learnt to their lives and educate others."

During the trainings, students were informed about the things to be prepared for disasters, how to behave during a disaster, the dangers that may be encountered during a disaster and methods of protection from these dangers. The training ended with a drill with the participation of the students.
