Introduction Meeting Held for "60+ Renewal University"

With the participation of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Yıldırım, an event was organized at our university's Sabahattin Zaim Conference Hall for academic and administrative staff. The event featured a presentation by Dr. Mehmet Efe, Head of the Gerontology Department and Coordinator of the "60+ Renewal University," followed by speeches from Prof. Dr. Kenan Yıldırım to inaugurate the program.

Dr. Mehmet Efe emphasized the significance of the university, established to support healthy aging and socialization among individuals aged 60 and above, stating their belief in its substantial contributions to our city and highlighting that the registration process is ongoing. Prof. Dr. Kenan Yıldırım expressed his confidence in the concept of the Renewal University and welcomed faculty members interested in volunteering to teach. Following the meeting, our academics showed great interest in volunteering as instructors.
Registration for the "60+ Renewal University," which will commence on March 4th at the Muş Faculty of Islamic Sciences and last for 4 years, requires basic literacy skills. The Renewal University, scheduled for three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) with two-hour sessions each day, will also offer literacy courses for those who are not literate.
