General Graduation Ceremony Held at Our University

The 2023-2024 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement at our university.

Governor Avni Çakır, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, Muş Provincial Protocol, students, their families, and academic staff showed great interest in the ceremony. Held in the Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim Conference Hall, certificates of achievement were presented to outstanding students, and special gifts were awarded to top-ranking students by Business Person Hamza Oduncu.

Esma Çiftçibaşı, a Faculty of Education student who ranked first in the undergraduate programme, along with Faculty of Sports Sciences students Şeyma Nur Belbaş, who ranked second, and Ahmet Fevzi Arslan and Şifanur Karadüz, who shared third place, became sources of pride with their success. In the associate degree programme, Güler Şendur, a student of the Malazgirt Vocational School Home Patient Care Programme, secured first place. Arzu Zengin from the same department and Hazine Sakin, a student of the Child Development Programme, shared second place, while Büşra Tan, a student of the Disabled Care and Rehabilitation Programme of the Vocational School of Health Services, took third place.

In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican addressed the graduating students, saying, "With the education you have received here, you have gained not only professional knowledge and skills but also values and principles that you will use throughout your life. You are starting a brand new journey with your graduation. I wish you continued success on this journey."

After the ceremony, students and their families commemorated this special day by taking souvenir photos with Governor Avni Çakır and our Rector.

Following the ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican and Governor Avni Çakır visited the practice farm established by the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Animal Production and Technologies on our university campus. During the visit, Governor Çakır received detailed information about the farm from Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican. In his statement, our Rector said, "As it is known, our university stands out as a pilot State University in the field of animal husbandry. Our farm has sheep, Kangal dogs, chickens, and rabbits. Our students of the animal production department were previously deprived of practical training. This farm has become an important application area for our students. We plan to expand our farm in the coming days."
