Gaza Masjid Opened for Prayer

The Gaza Masjid, started to be built in MAUN campus during the term of our Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nihat İnanç and completed during the time of Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, was opened for prayer as of today.

Following the 2023-2024 Academic Year Opening Ceremony, another opening ceremony was held for the Gaza Masjid with a large participation. In his speech in front of the Gaza Masjid, MAUN Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican emphasized that this masjid, started to be built during the term of our Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nihat İnanç and opened for prayer today, is a sign of the deep meaning of Gaza in the hearts of Muslims in the face of the human tragedy in Gaza before the eyes of the world. Mayor Feyat Asya, who took the floor after our Rector, stated that he hoped the prayers made in this blessed masjid would heal the wounds of Gaza, and promised that the Municipality of Muş would support the landscaping work in the masjid's garden. Afterwards, with the prayers of Muş Provincial Mufti İbrahim Halil Demir, the ribbon was cut and the Gaza Masjid was opened for prayer.
