Faculty of Education English and Turkish Teaching Programs Sectoral Meeting

Third and fourth-year teacher candidates enrolled in the Faculty of Education's English and Turkish programs visited Bahçeşehir College in our city for a professional development session related to their career advancement and post-graduation career planning.

The sectoral meeting, organized in collaboration with KARGEM, was conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Veysel Emir Eke from the Department of English Language Education at the Faculty of Education and coordinated by KARGEM Director Dr. Teymur Erol. The event saw the participation of class advisors, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammed Tunagür, the Head of the Department of Turkish and Social Sciences Education, and Dr. İhsan Güzel.

During the meeting, the founders of Bahçeşehir College, Serdal Arslan and Bekir Gülsarı, delivered seminars to teacher candidates on post-university employment, career planning, and professional development. Subsequently, the school's teaching and physical facilities were introduced, followed by a meal program specifically organized for teacher candidates. In the school's conference hall, the heads of the Turkish and English Teaching Departments provided information on planning, implementation, and evaluation processes related to the teacher candidates' respective fields, engaging in an exchange of ideas.

Dr. Veysel Emir Eke, who led the mentoring program, expressed gratitude on behalf of the teacher candidates to our esteemed Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, and Vice Rector/Faculty of Education Dean, Prof. Dr. Kenan Yıldırım, for providing opportunities for sectoral meetings in the career journey and supporting teacher candidates in gaining field experience.
