Eastern Anatolia Career Fair Started
The Eastern Anatolia Career Fair (DAKAF), organized under the coordination of the Presidential Human Resources Office and hosted by Atatürk University, has just started. With its slogan "Talent Everywhere", the fair has been welcomed by many visitors. Organized to ensure equal opportunities in the employment of young individuals, DAKAF'22 brings together students, alumni and sector representatives.
The fair that is held at TÜYAP Erzurum Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Fair Center and will continue on March 8 has the stands of public institutions, private sector representatives, professional chambers, non-governmental organizations and stakeholder educational institutions, including our university. MAUN is represented at the fair by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Ulaş Çaydaş, Deputy Director of KARGEM (MAUN Career Development Center), Res. Asst. Fatma Betül Şengönül, and Assoc. Prof. Salih Güven, a member of KARGEM's board.
Productive First Day at DAKAF'22
The opening ceremony of the fair started with an Erzurum Folk Songs Concert performed by the Turkish Music State Conservatory of Atatürk University, and it was followed by welcoming speeches. In addition to cultural events, the fair included talks.
MAUN Stands Out in the Fair
MAUN took its place among the DAKAF'22 stands. MAUN student communities exhibited various activities including a Ney concert, marbling art performance and shows by our archery team. Res. Asst. Deniz Pamuk from MAUN Faculty of Health Sciences made a presentation titled “The Role of Gerontology and Elderly Care in Aging Turkey”. The presentation was followed with interest by the participants. Prof. Dr. Necmettin Elmastaş, the Rector of Bitlis Eren University, visited our stand and made marbling work. Our team also visited other stands at the fair including the stands of TRT, DSİ and Presidential Human Resources Office.
The Shahi Rocket as well as our university and city has been introduced at MAUN's stand that will continue to host its guests on the second day of the fair.
