Contribution to the Art Field with a New Work from Our Faculty Member!

The album "Saz Compositions for Viola," written by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ender Can Dönmez, who serves as the Rector's Advisor and Director of KÜSAM, adapts classical Turkish Music instrumentals for the viola. The album consists of 21 compositions by distinguished Turkish Music composers such as Tamburi Cemil Bey, Refik Talat Alpman, Tatyos Efendi, and Kevser Hanım.

Dönmez's book includes compositions in traditional Turkish music forms such as saz semai, longa, sirto, medhal, and köçekçe, composed in 14 maqams. The work also provides information on rhythm, form, and composers in both English and Turkish for the readers. Serving as a valuable resource for viola educators, students, and soloists, the book stands out as an essential repertoire guide for concerts.
