Coffee Served by Children with Special Needs
The Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences for the Disabled at MAUN and Ali Kuşçu Special Education Practice School organized an event as part of March 21, World Down Syndrome Day. At the Down Cafe, children with special needs served coffee to the visitors and made them smile. Assist. Prof Atike Yılmaz, The Head of the Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences for the Disabled, said "Down syndrome is not a disease but awareness. Therefore, everyone should be aware of it, and these individuals should be included in the society". The Rector, Prof. Polat as well as faculty deans, principals, academics and students attended the event.
