Best Article Award to our Faculty Member
Our university's faculty member, Dr. Mahmut Akar, from the Department of English Language and Literature, has been awarded the first prize in The Zelda & Paul Gitlin Literary Prize for his work titled "Portrait of an Artist: A Psychoanalytic Study of Thomas Wolfe." The study, published in the AHCI-indexed Thomas Wolfe Review journal in the United States, was selected as the best article and awarded a prize of $500.
