Our Rector Participated in the "18 March Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs' Day" Programs
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat participated in the "18 March Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs' Day" program organized by the Muş Governorship. In addition to our Rector, Governor of Muş Assoc. Dr. İlker Gündüzöz, Muş Deputy Mayor Muhterem Bozkurt and the provincial protocol attended.
The program held at the Muş Garrison Martyrdom began with the laying of wreaths at the Martyrs' Monument by the Muş Governorship, Muş Municipality and the Martyrs' and Veterans' Families Association. In the program that continued with the recitation of the Quran, carnations were left on the graves of the martyrs and a shot of respect was made on behalf of our martyrs. The program, which continued at Muş Teacher's House, ended with the 18 Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs' Day program prepared by Muş Anatolian High School students and teachers.
“Akif in Hearts, Freedom in Languages” Contest Concluded
A program was organized by the Faculty of Education on the occasion of the acceptance of the National Anthem, Çanakkale Week and the anniversary of the establishment of the Teachers' Schools (Dârülmuallimin) (16 March 1848). As part of the program, Muğla-Milas Pınar Primary School classroom teacher Tuğba Harmankaya in her presentation on the theme “A Companion: Teacher!” explained that teaching is a profession that requires effort and sacrifice, with examples from her own life. She held an interview with pre-service teachers with examples of the cities where she worked in her 10-year teaching history, the activities she carried out in these places, the projects she carried out and the awards she received with these projects. At the end of the program, the awards of the essay, poetry and story competition organized for university students with the theme “Akif in Hearts, Freedom in Languages” were distributed by the Department of Turkish Education. Awards, were presented by Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Esin Kaya.
