Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (Exemption) for Compulsory Preparatory Program Announcement
Department of English Language and Literature Compulsory Preparation Program Foreign Language Proficiency (Exemption) Exam will be held on 29-30 September 2021 in two face-to-face sessions at Muş Alparslan University Faculty of Arts and Letters. The first session of the exam, consisting of test, listening and writing skills sections will be carried out on Wednesday at 10:00, at the Faculty of Arts and Letters. The results of the first session will be announced on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.
Those who participated in and passed the first exam session to be held on September 29, 2021 will take the oral test in the same building on Thursday, September 30, 2021. What time do students take the oral exam and in which order will be stated in the lists posted in the classrooms. The percentage weights of the sections are as follows:

Exam Format: The content, number of questions and duration of the English Exemption Exam are stated below:
1st Session:
●Test-Language use&reading comprehension (%40):Consists of 40 multiple choice questions this section measures students' reading, comprehension, grammar and vocabulary. Exam duration is 60 minutes.
●Listening (%20): In this section with 30 fill-in-the-blank/matching questions, students' listening comprehension skills are measured. Exam duration is 30 minutes.
●Writing (%20): In this section where students' writing skills are measured, they are asked to write a text between 350-400 words about a given topic. Exam duration is 40 minutes.
2nd Session:
●In this session, students were asked to answer the questions and they are asked to speak for 10 minutes on a randomly chosen topic.
⃰Students with a weighted score of 40 and above at the end of the 1st session will be able to participate in the oral exam.
⃰To be exempt from the compulsory preparatory exam, students must score 60 and above.
The list of the students who will be deemed “exempt” as a result of the evaluations to be made after the completion of the first session, consisting of test and writing sections, and the oral exam sections, will be announced on the website of Mus Alparslan University and Faculty of Arts and Letters.
