​​​​​​Our university has signed a cooperation protocol with Malazgirt Municipality for the continuation of the "Identification of the Historical Date and Archaeological Surface Research of the Malazgirt Battle Area" project and the establishment of the "Anthropology Laboratory". The protocol was signed by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, and the Deputy Mayor of Malazgirt, Fesih Akkuş.

The collaboration aims to contribute significantly both scientifically and culturally by continuing the work in the area considered to be the 'Seljuk Martyrdom' or 'Seljuk Headquarters' in order to identify the area where the Battle of Malazgirt, which opened the doors of Anatolia to the Turks, took place.
