MAUN Students Make Sushi
A workshop on making sushi, a favorite of the far east cuisine, was organized for MAUN students of cookery and other participants by MAUN Vocational School of Social Sciences.
The workshop organized with the coorination of Instructor Mehmet Gül from the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services was delivered by Instructor and Chef Hüsnü Kasar, a member of the Turkish National Cook Team. After they were told about the history, kinds, techniques and applications of sushi, the participants made their own sushi rolls.
MAUN Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Ulaş Çaydaş and Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, Deputy Secretary Generals Ferit Usluand Uğur İnan Haki, and the Director of the School Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özalper attended the workshop along with other academic and administrative staff and students.
Chef Öksüz, who expressed his content with the participation, gave the participants a feast for both the eyes and the appetite with the sushi rolls he prepared.
