IPARD Program and TKDK's Support Activities Seminar Held at Our University

Our University's Vocational School of Technical Sciences (VST) organized a seminar addressing the IPARD Program and the support activities of the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution (TKDK). The event took place in the Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim Conference Hall, with the participation of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, VST Director Dr. Assistant Prof. Fatih Şevgin, VST academic staff, and students. The coordination of the seminar was undertaken by Construction Department Head Instructor Zekeriya Artun.

During the seminar, TKDK Muş Provincial Coordinator Bünyamin Süne introduced the IPARD Program, sharing important information and experiences related to the business world with students. Süne emphasized key points to consider in career planning, highlighting the importance of learning foreign languages and adapting to the requirements of the period.

Following Süne's speech, Dr. Deniz Karabulut, who serves as Application Acceptance Specialist in the Project Application Management Unit, delivered a presentation. Karabulut mentioned that TKDK, operating under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, has been conducting investment support activities in various sectors since its accreditation by the European Union in 2011. He stated that the IPARD Program's third phase would be implemented by 2024. Karabulut shared information during the presentation, indicating that TKDK had provided 44.8 billion TL in grant support for a total investment of 98.1 billion TL. The sectors supported under the IPARD III Program include livestock, processing and marketing, and rural area investments. Additionally, participants were informed that activities carried out by local action groups under the LEADER measure were fully financed.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatih Şevgin, Director of VST, commented on the seminar, stating, "This seminar organized by our Vocational School has become a platform for sharing crucial information in the fields of agriculture and rural development. I believe that the valuable insights shared by our speakers about the sectoral impacts, investment support, and future projects of TKDK and the IPARD Program serve as guiding principles for our students and participants. This meaningful event is an important step for our students to enhance their sectoral knowledge and progress towards their career goals with a solid foundation. I express my gratitude to our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican for his contributions to the realization of this event, to the Head of Construction Department Instructor Zekeriya Artun for coordinating the seminar, and to TKDK Muş Provincial Coordinator Bünyamin Süne and Application Acceptance Specialist Dr. Deniz Karabulut for their contributions to the program with their presentations."

At the end of the seminar, after addressing participants' questions, Instructor Zekeriya Artun expressed gratitude to TKDK Muş Provincial Coordinator Bünyamin Süne, Application Acceptance Specialist Dr. Deniz Karabulut, and all participants. In the closing remarks, Instructor Artun extended his thanks to our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican and VST Director Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatih Şevgin for their support throughout the event.
