Hosting Prof. Dr. Yasin Aktay at Our University
Sociologist-Academician Prof. Dr. Yasin Aktay held a discussion titled "Friendship Politics from the Aksa Flood" at the 1071 Malazgirt Congress and Culture Center.
Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, Mayor Feyat Asya, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Yıldırım, General Secretary Harun Demir, academic and administrative staff, and students attended the discussion. Aktay emphasized the concept of being a good person and strongly criticized Israel's occupation of Palestine. He also discussed the necessary Muslim identity, stating that a Muslim is someone everyone trusts. Prof. Dr. Yasin Aktay highlighted the need for Islam to have a universal perspective and emphasized that Islam should be a philosophy and an attitude. After the discussion, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican presented a plaque to Prof. Dr. Yasin Aktay.
Following the discussion, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican hosted Sociologist-Academician Prof. Dr. Yasin Aktay and Mayor Feyat Asya in his office. Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican presented Prof. Dr. Yasin Aktay with his book, "Malazgirt Diaries."
