Evaluation Meeting from Technology, Research and Project Coordination Unit

Technology, Research and Project Coordination Unit (TAPKOB) Board of Directors, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr Ulaş Çaydaş, informs our Rector Prof. Dr Fethi Ahmet Polat about the work of the last three months.

 

In the briefing held in the meeting room of the Rectorate, Alparslan Technology Transfer Office Manager, established within TAPKOB, Assist. Prof. Dr Necattin Cihat İçyer makes a presentation. Touching on the activities and future work plan of Alparslan TTO, Dr İçyer emphasises that our academics who want to establish a company and have an attempt to obtain patent and apply for registration can benefit from both our university and other universities from now on. Underlining that an essential activity of the TTO in this context is the bilateral cooperation protocol to be signed with İnönü University Malatya Teknokent, İçyer stresses that with the said protocol, Muş Alparslan University academics would be able to benefit from the Technocity opportunities within İnönü University on equal terms. In addition, İçyer states that they will make separate project preparation presentations to all academics in each academic unit in the coming period. Also, İçyer asserts that the academic staff of İnönü University will also contribute to our university.

 

Central Laboratory Supervisor İlhan Küçük, who is also an academic staff at Muş Alparslan University, makes a presentation on new automation systems, current usage rates of laboratory facilities and innovative policies in the briefing. Küçük says that they mediated nearly 50 TÜBİTAK project applications in the last three months, that the number of analyses increased almost three times in three months compared to the laboratory studies conducted in the previous year, that the device inventories were wholly removed. Küçük further states that after the protocols made with neighbouring provinces, many analysis requests were also made outside the region.

 

At the end of the meeting, our Rector Prof. Dr Fethi Ahmet Polat, emphasises the importance of the studies on the development of the project culture of our university and the improvement of research opportunities. Rector Prof. Dr Fethi Ahmet Polat also thanks the TAPKOB unit under the management of Prof. Dr Ulaş Çaydaş, wishing them success.
