Breath for the Future Breath for the World We Planted Our Saplings on 11 November National Afforestation Day
On November 11th, on the occasion of National Afforestation Day, we planted saplings across the MAUN campus with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican.
In addition to Rector Alican, the special day saw the presence of his spouse, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Songül Alican, Governor Avni Çakır and his spouse Bahar Çakır, Garrison Commander Lt. Col. Ali Osman Sağlam, Deputy Mayor Muhterem Bozkurt, Deputy Governors Cihat Abukan, Mustafa Batuhan Alpboğa, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Lt. Col. Mehmet Kasım Ermiş, Provincial Police Chief Serkan Karaman, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, Prof. Dr. Kenan Yıldırım, Rector's Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özalper, Secretary General Harun Demir, Deputy Secretary Generals Serhan Demir, Uğur İnan Kaki, academicians, students, Provincial Protocol, and members of the press.
Governor Çakır delivered a brief speech emphasizing the significance of the day. Subsequently, saplings were planted on the campus and at the 1071 Alparslan Girls' Dormitory. Governor Çakır and Rector Alican engaged in conversations with the students. The event concluded with a meatball reception and a photo session.
